Here comes my first, real owner's review of the BMW F750GS 2018 model, after 5 months of ownership and a little over 10 000 km in the saddle. One epic tour through Norway, though the pouring rain, freezing cold, blistering heat, and only one minor mishap. Check out our previous videos on the F750GS in the playlist.

The BMW F750GS and F850GS can be equipped with a 6.5" TFT display instead of the dials. It features a primitive navigation, but is that enough? Do you really need a fully featured, external navigator, or can you get by with just this?

Do you think I will notice the difference on a KTM 1290 Adventure R? I just ordered a spring that lowers the height of the seat by 3 cm... do you recommend it if you have already tried it?
have one !! 2019.. lovely but 220 kg and top heavy that wll never get wify on the hi back ! need lighter, lower a bit to handle easier. 70 kg more on the back would be a stretch. lower weight works for me along with storage
WonderfuVideo ... I like the 750 for both on and off-road. Makes no difference to me.
My 2023 system settings doesn’t have the KM / Miles selection which is weird since I’m in Canada and we cross the border often. I’m wondering if this is something can can be enable with a GS911

Well, I listened to both. I actually asked the dealer to take the "upgrade" Exhaust muffler off and put one of the BMW OME. I hear no difference. Yes, it is somewhat more weight to the bike, but the bike isn't made for breaking any speed records. Right? So, I saved about $1500 on the purchase price of the bike.

I had this for courtesy bike the te version pretty good drinks alot but i always had it in dynamic, the wind protection is not so good
Great review guys! I have a 2012 f650gs (bought brand new) and love it, but will upgrade to get more power and off road capability. Surprisingly, I can do quite a bit of off roading (dirt, gravel) with my f650 as I have all the protection on it with a heavy duty skid plate, and Michelin Anakee tires, so even at 5'7"/66 years old, I will probably prefer the f850. I rode a 1250gs recently and it is a beast - beautiful on the highway, but off road, for me it's tall and heavy. I'm not boulder jumping, but I have had the 650 on bad mountain dirt roads, in sand, crossing streams, etc. So my guess is the f850 will more than suit my needs, maybe just lower the suspension?

Really excellent review, maybe the most professional one I have heard so far. I have ridden a 750 for a while and its behavior on twisties is like you said here...very comfortable, very handling. This was maybe the best reason I choose it.

Thanks for the great video. What about if you compare these saddles to the original COMFORT saddle for the 750GS? Is the difference then minimal? Becuase Sargent doesn't ship to Turkey, and becuase my butt wasn't forged in the mountains of Mordor, I have no other choice than the original comfort saddle, unless I wan't to take a huge risk and have a local upholsterer make me a personalized comfort seat. We do have a guy who makes comfort seats for bikes, and especially BMW's. But still not sure. So appreciate getting your thoughts on the comfort saddle. Thank you.

my bmw f850gs had no tft but had the wheel to use the tft, can i change to tft
Hi man, thanks for video. I just bought mine yesterday together with cradle but faced with issue on connection hub. Service guys were successful to establish the pairin my phone to bike and then connecting hub was successfully paired too. But we stucked on the tutorial part on 3. which says that screen will transfer from your tft to phone screen and shows that press and hold the menu rock on pure tft screen. Whatever we do didn't worked and kept failing then just left the service. I still have the issue. Your help will be much appreciated 🙏 Greetings from Türkiye 💪
I’ve been on BMW 1200GSs for 15 years. I’m 74 now and recently had back surgery, I now find the big GS is too much for me. I thinking of a F850 but I need the seat height of 31” or so. Maybe I should be looking at a 310 GS?
Hello, I find the 850gs to be a real handful at zero speeds like moving into and out of the garage, does the reduced height make the bike a bit more managable with a lower CoG? Great channel, thanks John
You two are awesome together, liked and subscribed . Appreciate your thoughts and opinions on these 2 bikes , I am looking for a mid weight street bike that does everything . I do enjoy my 2004 919 Hornet , I like an upright seating position but still like the twistiest . I am 5’10 and like the lower seat height and I am in stop and go traffic at times .I do 💯 on road but still think mid size adventure bikes might be right for me .

What’s the name of this window screen I can’t seem to find it. I have a GS
Before you buy this bike make the dealer change the rear brake lever with the upgraded one and get it for free cause the standard one is very very bad, can be dangerous and it cost around $160 + workshop labor. So let them pay for it.

I lowered my 11/2020 bmw f850gs adv progressive front and rear hyperpro touratech kit 25mm Major difference, top upgrade for the bike, best purchase ever. If you have problem with the stand, you can use the esa, change the height of the bike from one helmet maybe to 2 helmets and just use the stand.

Poor Review, Apples to Oranges, ie both the 750 & 850 come in either the standard version or the Adventure version. A better review criteria would be to review a 750 adventure model to an 850 adventure model, or a 750 Standard gs to an 850 Standard gs. Such a poor comparison.

Good review. I am a new follower of your channel.
I’m really short, just 5’1” (154 cm). I like the F750 GS and have sat on one with standard height chassis and extra low seat (medieval torture devise). I’m on very tips of toes and barely manageable with one foot down. I think I will buy that configuration and then buy the hyperpro lowering spring as you have discussed. I sat on an F750GS with the low chassis height and extra low seat a couple of years ago and it fit me amazingly well. I was so excited but had no money 💵 😢. Since the hyperpro lowering option allows me to keep Dynamic ESA and center stand I think it’s the better option. I will get the side and center stands shortened afterwards.

Does somebody knows how many cm or inch does this adjuster lifts the screen ?
Whats the top speed of the 750 and is it stable at that speed?
ditch the sound resonator and get a straight through mid pipe, and they would both sound a lot better, I am still contemplating is it worth £900 for the end can, with a saving of 2kg and a little more torque, is it really worth it... my bike already sounds better than both of these by getting a dominator mid pipe, can I bring myself and waste nearly a grand on a end can
